Mr. Good’s Journey 09: Love in Hip Hop

NYC · The People Who Carried It Forward

Valentine’s Day usually centers romance.

Last year, we shared our story as a couple building together.

This year, we widened the lens.

Nipsey Hussle often spoke about the importance of loving hip hop — not approaching it as a shortcut to fame or just another business model, but as something you invest in deeply.

For him, love meant:

💛 Building your own craft
🩷 Mentoring others
💜 Staying authentic
❤️ Creating legacy

Mr. Good’s was shaped by that same idea.

People invested in us before there was proof.

They shared kitchens, knowledge, space, sound, tools, advice, and loyalty.

That is love in hip hop.

The Mr. Good’s Tribe page exists to acknowledge that investment.

Because this story has always been collective.

A Valentine’s reflection on love in hip hop and the community that built Mr. Good’s, inspired by Nipsey Hussle’s philosophy.
